In the fiber optical communication system, oil pollution, dust and other contaminants at each connection point may cause the optical signal to be blocked or cause reflected waves to damage the fiber optic, more seriously, or even damage the light source, causing significant damage to the entire fiber optical communication system. Therefore, the cleaning of connection points in fiber optic communication systems is critical.

We know that the connection points of the fiber optical system mainly include fiber optical connectors and adapters. Normally, we use cleaning cotton swabs and alcohol to clean the fiber optical in the connector. However, traditional cleaning swabs and alcohol are only convenient when cleaning movable connectors. For connectors and adapters that have been fixed on racks, module boxes, and other devices, using cleaning swabs and alcohol is more laborious. Based on this, there is a one-push fiber optical cleaner in the market, which can be used to remove the contaminants in the fiber optical connector with a light press. Today we will introduce how to use the one-push fiber optical cleaner.

1. Introduce of the One-push Fiber Optical Cleaner

The one-push fiber optical cleaner is popular with users because of its characteristics of easy-to-use. When using it, you only need to insert the fiber optical cleaner into the connector, and then push the cleaner inward until you hear a "click" sound , And finally pull out the cleaner from the connector, the cleaning work is completed. The principle is to use the pushing force to make the head end of the cleaner rotate to clean the fiber optical in the connector. According to different connector types, one-push fiber optical cleaners can be divided into 1.25mm one-push fiber optical cleaners (LC / MU) and 2.5mm one-push fiber optical cleaners (SC / ST / FC).

2. Structure of 1.25mm / 2.5mm One-push Fiber Optical Cleaner

Before describing the cleaning steps of using the one-push fiber optical cleaner, it is necessary to understand the structure of the one-touch fiber optical cleaner first.

Cap: protect the tip of the fiber optical cleaner.

Tip: guide the cleaning cloth to clean the end face of the connector.

Nozzle: guide the head end into the connector.

Extension position: extend or contract the nozzle.

Main body of the cleaner: it is convenient for people to push the cleaner.

Indicator: prompt the number of remaining cleaning cloths.

3. Cleaning Steps of 1.25mm One-push Fiber Optical Cleaner (LC / MU)

The 1.25mm one-push fiber optical cleaner (LC / MU) is mainly used to clean the connector with a ferrule diameter of 1.25mm (LC / MU connector). The number of use is more than 800 times, which can clean various kinds of oil, dust and other pollutants.

1) Clean the LC / MU connector installed on the adapter

A. Remove the cap on the one-push fiber optical cleaner.

B. Insert the tip of the cleaner into the adapter.

C. Push the cleaner forward until you hear a "click" sound, then the cleaning work is completed.

2) Clean the LC / MU connector on the fiber jumper

A. Remove the cap on the cover.

B. Insert the cleaner into the connector.

C. Push the cleaner forward until you hear a "click" sound, then the cleaning work is completed.

4. Cleaning Steps of 2.5mm One-push Fiber Optical Cleaner (LC / MU)

The 2.5mm one-push fiber optical cleaner (SC / ST / FC) is mainly used to clean the connector with a ferrule diameter of 2.5mm (SC / ST / FC connector). (LC / MU).
