Cross connecting cabinet is a kind of junction device that provides cable inlet and jump cut for main and distribution layer optical fiber cables. After the cable is introduced into the cross connecting cabinet, the main layer cable and the distribution layer cable are connected by optical fiber patch cords after being fixed, terminated and fibered.

Characteristics of Cross Connecting Cabinet

The cabinet is made of high strength stainless steel plate, which is anti-aging, anti-corrosion and can resist accidental or malicious damage.

All edges and corners of the cabinet are moulded by special fillet moulding. The surface treatment is wire drawing or electrostatic spray moulding, which has a good appearance.

The cabinet is of double-layer structure with high-performance heat insulation material between the two layers, which has good heat insulation effect and can effectively prevent condensation of water vapor in the cabinet.

The Importance of Cross Connecting Cabinet

With the continuous construction of 5G network and the acceleration of FTTH construction, the development situation of the telecommunication industry is excellent. However, for telecommunication enterprises, efficiency is the most important, that is, under the new situation, how to win the market, how to have a large number of users, and how to get ahead in the market is the most critical. For telecommunication enterprises, first of all, it is necessary to build a stable basic network with abundant basic resources, that is, how to build a optical physical network with abundant resources and network stability and reliability, which is a problem that needs to be considered by telecommunication enterprises. Cross connecting cabinet will play an important role in the construction of the entire local optical fiber cable network and help to expand the construction and continuation of optical cables.

In the construction of local optical fiber cable network, in order to improve the utilization of the main cable, reduce the number of insertions and pullouts of cable connectors, and effectively improve the safety and reliability of the cable, it is recommended to set up the necessary cross connecting cabinet on the main route of the cable. The main optical fiber cable of the cross connecting cabinet should be connected to the base station nearby. To increase access flexibility, part of the main fiber core of the cable can be connected to the junction layer node.

There are two types of networking in the construction of optical fiber cables: bus structure and ring structure. Bus structure refers to a network structure connected by only one cable from the local end to each cross connecting cabinet. It is generally used in non-key areas with small business volume and small range. Ring structure refers to a network structure in which all cross connecting cabinets use a single cable, and the end of the cable is connected to the local terminal to form a closed loop.

In conclusion, the cross connecting cabinet enables the construction of optical network to be flexible and scalable, and enables the optical network to better serve the development and construction of the telecommunication industry.

Assembly Requirements for Cross Connecting Cabinet

1. The door opening angle should be no less than 120°.

2. The opening and closing of door locks should be flexible and reliable.

3. There should be a clear grounding mark at the protective grounding.

4. Wherever the optical fibers are installed in the cabinet, the bending radius should be guaranteed to be no less than 30mm.
