The operation of mobile optical cables relies on the principle of light total internal reflection. When light enters the optical fiber at a specific angle, it undergoes complete reflection at the boundary between the core and cladding materials, allowing it to propagate through the fiber with minimal loss. During transmission, the optical signal travels through the fiber to the receiving end, where it is converted back into electrical signals for processing.
